Your request, step by step

How the Container Request Builder Works

The full request builder turns your container and delivery details into an editable request summary. Prepare the draft, review its text, then copy or download it. Preparing, copying or downloading alone does not send the request. To send it through Quotbox, review your contact and project details, select the displayed consent and click Send my quote request.

1. Describe the container you need

Open the full request builder and enter the final Delivery ZIP code as a five-digit ZIP or ZIP+4. Add City and state if helpful. A ZIP entry records your project location; it does not confirm availability or delivery coverage.

Choose Container size and Condition. If the size is undecided, select Other / not sure. The condition choices are To be advised, Used and New / one-trip. These record what you want a seller to confirm.

2. Add quantity, use and delivery details

  • Quantity: enter the number of containers. If units go to different addresses, explain that in Project notes.
  • Intended use: choose the closest option. For cargo transport or a use outside the listed choices, select Other / not sure and explain the requirement in Project notes.
  • Delivery timing: choose your preference. Add a specific date and your flexibility in Project notes; choosing a preference does not book delivery.
  • Truck access: choose the closest description, then note gates, turns, ground conditions and overhead obstacles.
  • Unloading: choose Ask supplier to include unloading, I will arrange unloading or Need advice. Add placement details and the intended door direction in Project notes.

3. Prepare, edit, copy or download the draft

Use the Review step to check your container, delivery and contact details. Open View or edit the full request to correct the text or add questions before sending, copying or downloading it.

Use the Edit buttons in the Review step to return to your project details. Check the full request after changing form fields; an updated summary may replace your direct text edits.

Before copying or downloading, check the summary itself: delivery ZIP, size, condition, quantity and any access notes. The text in Request summary is what you will copy or save.

Copy request copies that text to your clipboard. If clipboard access is unavailable, select and copy the summary yourself. Download request saves the same text as a .txt file. Review the text before sharing it with your chosen recipient.

Buying questions

Does Prepare my request contact a supplier?

Preparing creates a summary for you to review and edit. Preparing, copying and downloading alone do not send it. Sending requires the displayed consent and the separate Send my quote request action.

What if Copy request does not work?

Select the summary text and use your device or browser copy command, or use Download request to save a text file.

Can I change the draft after it is prepared?

Yes. Edit the summary directly, then copy or download it. If you change the form and prepare it again, the newly generated summary replaces your direct edits.

Do I need to enter a phone number or email address?

The quote form asks for your contact details so container professionals can respond. Review those details and the displayed consent before choosing to send. Do not include payment details.

Will the builder show a price or confirm delivery?

No. Ask a seller for a written price, actual unit details and delivery confirmation for your address.
