Compare the shell and fitted scope

A service hatch and counter do not describe the whole bar. Ask for a dimensioned layout and an itemized scope before comparing prices.

Plan for pouring and restocking

Place ordering, drink preparation and pickup around the intended staff positions. A draft-beer bar needs a different equipment layout from a bottled-drink counter or a cocktail service, so compare the proposed plan with your actual beverage menu.

Show how kegs, bottled drinks and ice reach their storage and serving positions. Check replacement and service access for the chosen equipment, and keep handwashing and glasswashing needs visible on the plan.

Choose how water, waste and power will be supplied

For a utility-connected bar, identify the potable-water supply, wastewater connection and electrical service at the venue. Match the proposed equipment's connection requirements to those available services.

For a tank-based proposal, document fresh-water and wastewater capacities, filling and emptying arrangements, and who services the tanks during use. Confirm the power source for refrigeration, dispensing, ice production and any water heating. Review the proposed arrangement for the particular venue and operation.

Include the work at the venue

Have the quote identify transport and final placement separately from support preparation, utility connections and customer access. Assign each task to the fabricator, installer or venue team, and state which drawings and inspections are included.

Include your beverage menu, preferred service layout, equipment requirements and venue location in the quote request. Describe available utilities and the route used to restock the bar so the proposed scope can account for both serving and replenishment.

Buying questions

Does buying a fitted bar include permission to serve alcohol?

Alcohol licensing applies to the operator and location. Confirm the applicable licensing and registration requirements with the responsible authorities separately from the unit purchase.
